What can I expect from this class?
An Alpha Strength class is a full-body progressively programmed workout with a blend of power/Olympic weightlifting (strength) and metabolic conditioning (cardio). A primary focus on this class will be spent on lifting platforms, progressing through increasingly technical movement patterns with the guidance of a coach. While this format is centered around strength, cardiovascular training is programmed to heart rate zones for a complete program.
What level of experience is required for this class?
This class is open to all experience levels! Our certified personal trainer will assist you in finding modifications if necessary to ensure all members are having a wonderful experience and a challenging workout!
How long are the classes?
Alpha classes are one hour in length customized with a warmup, full workout and time for cool down.
Is a heart rate monitor needed for this type of class? If so, what type of monitor do I need?
No, a heart rate monitor is not required to attend this class. If you would like to utilize your personal heart rate monitor, you're welcome to do so.
Can I take more than one class per day?
You are welcome to take unlimited Signature Group Training classes per day.
What type of equipment is used in this class?
This class utilizes barbells, dumbbells, resistance bands, kettlebells, plyo boxes, cardio machines, medicine balls and other exercising modalities.
Is there Olympic lifting within Alpha?
Yes, Olympic lifting is the main emphasis of Alpha Strength. This includes compound lifts and metcons with a bit of friendly rivalry mixed in to challenge all participants and build a sense of community.
Is this a progressive class or can I jump in at any time?
Yes, Alpha is a strength training program with zero plateaus that members will never outgrow. All skill levels are welcome.
What is the reservation and cancelation policy?
Signature Members are welcome to reserve this session up to 7 days and 22 hours in advance and can cancel up to 2 hours before the start of class. If a member is unable to attend a reservation they have made for this class we ask that they cancel on the Life Time Digital App up to 2 hours before the start of class. If a member is unable to attend this class and cannot cancel in time, a missed class mark will be received. Out of respect for our Trainers and other members interested in attending these classes, missing 3 classes in a 30-day period will result in a 7-day suspension from making group fitness reservations. Each missed class mark on an account will fall off after 30 days.

What can I expect from this class?
GTX is the ultimate group training experience as we incorporate a 50/50 blend of strength training and cardiovascular health in every workout! With heart rate-based interval training (on a treadmill or alternative low-impact machine), resistance coaching and a comprehensive weekly plan, you’ll always have the right formula to keep you improving your overall fitness.
What level of experience is required for this class? Can a beginner join in?

What can I expect from this class?
We created Ultra Fit to serve our high-intensity fitness fanatics and those looking for a competitive edge! This class combines speed interval training on the treadmill with balance and stability movements to promote optimal health and boost your metabolism. Members can expect to get faster and build core strength and stability using unstable surfaces. Members will also build up to your maximum sprinting power while incorporating full-body strength and coordination
What level of experience is required for this class? Can a beginner join in?

How long are the classes?
Ultra Fit classes are 1 hour in length.

No, a heart rate monitor is not required to attend this class. If you would like to utilize your personal heart rate monitor, you are welcome to do so.
Can I take more than one class per day?
You are welcome to take multiple classes each day however one class is all you need to reap the benefits of this workout.
What type of equipment is used in this class?
This class utilizes treadmills, dumbbells, bosu balls, resistance bands and other exercising modalities as our coaches see fit, to constantly challenge members to push themselves and improve.
What is the reservation and cancelation policy?
Signature Members are welcome to reserve this session up to 7 days and 22 hours in advance and can cancel up to 2 hours before the start of class. If a member is unable to attend a reservation they have made for this class we ask that they cancel on the My Reservation page (LINK) up to 2 hours before the start of class. If a member is unable to attend this class and cannot cancel in time, a missed class mark will be received. Who is MB360 designed for?
MB360 is designed for those interested in combining functional strength training, cardio conditioning and mobility - all to improve your mental health and physical performance.
What experience level is required?
All experience levels are welcome in MB360 classes!
Is this class included with my membership?
MB360 is included in your signature membership.
How long are MB360 classes?
MB360 classes are 60 and 75 minues long.
What equipment is used in MB360?
Dumbells, weighted vest, ankle weights, fabric thingh band, REP band, yoga blocks.
Cycle FAQs
What types and brand of cycle bikes do you have?
The cycle bikes offered at Life Time are Stages Cycling and are compatible with SPD cleats (2 bolt) and Delta cleats (3 bolt). All bikes also offer pedal cages that can be used with regular shoes.
Can you recommend any bike shoes that would be compatible with your cycle bikes?
We offer a variety of options for pedals and would recommend either SPD cleats (2 bolt) and Delta cleats (3 bolt). All bikes also offer pedal cages that can be used with regular shoes.
When cycle classes are not in session, can I use the bikes in the cycle studio on my own?
Members are allowed to utilize cycle studio spaces when classes are not in session. Studio equipment such as stereos, lights and microphones are reserved for team member use only.
What different formats do you offer for Cycle classes?
AMP is our rhythmic cycle class with easy to follow choreography on the bike, taught to the beat of the music. EDG is our music pumping, results-drive workout. Intentional sets of work synced to a heart-pounding soundtrack. PWR is about structure, precision and accountability, this class is designed to improve endurance, build strength and develop skills. A number of our locations will also offer additional cycles classes that are not part of our core cycle brands. These offerings with vary by location.
What clips are required for bike pedals at Life Time?
The cycle bikes offered at Life Time are Stages Cycling and are compatible with SPD cleats (2 bolt) and Delta cleats (3 bolt). All bikes also offer pedal cages that can be used with regular shoes.
I have visual sensitivities; do classes have flashing lights throughout the class?
Yes, some of our classes will use of colored and flashing lights. You can expect light color changes and the use of flashing lights in AMP Cycle Classes and some of our studio classes. Please connect with the Studio Leader or Instructor before class if you have any visual sensitivities.
I have audio sensitivities; do you maintain a certain decibel level? Or do you offer ear plugs?
All Studio, Cycle and Yoga classes will follow OSHA requirements for sound. Additionally, every studio is equipped with disposable earplugs for you to use.
What heart rate monitors pair with your cycle equipment?
In the cycle studio, heart rate monitors will not pair with our bikes, but in our EDG and PWR classes participants who reserve their spot in class will be connected to LT Connect.
Are your cycle classes arranged in stadium seating?
Most of our cycle studios will have stadium seating.
How many bikes are available for cycle classes?
The number of available bikes will vary by clubs. Some clubs have 20 bikes while others may have 50. You can see the number of available bikes at your club when you reserve your spot in the Life Time Member App.
What height and weight ranges do your bikes accommodate?
From Stages Website: The Stages Bike is designed to fit riders from 4'10 to 6'10. To accommodate this range, the bike features 4 crank length options and a large range of adjustability for saddle and handlebar position. The bike has a weight limit of 300 lbs (136 kg) due to the infinitely adjustable seat height, which can slip when used under heavier loads
I am training for a triathlon. What cycle class should I take to best support my training?
Our PWR Cycle class was designed specifically with endurance athletes in mind to assist you in achieving your goals. Here you will put your endurance and strength to the test with challenges and drills based on watts and heart-rate-monitor technology to prepare you for the outdoor race season. Measure your functional threshold power (FTP) periodically throughout the year to improve performance.
Are outdoor cycle classes offered?
Outdoor cycle classes will vary by clubs and are seasonal. Check your club’s schedule in the Life Time App to see reserve your spot in Outdoor Cycle Classes.
Yoga FAQs
What temperatures are the various classes?
Classes labeled as heated are generally set to around 90-95 degrees. Surrender is typically around 75 degrees and Root and other non-heated classes range from 75-85 degrees. Temperatures are listed in Fahrenheit. See class schedule for more details on what to expect per class.
What Yoga classes are good for beginners?
Almost all classes at Life Time are modifiable. We always recommend connecting with the yoga teacher ahead of class to discuss available modifications unique to your needs. Beginner paced yoga classes include SURRENDER, ROOT and ARORA.
What equipment will be provided for the class? Do I need to bring anything?
Life Time does provide straps, bolsters, yoga blocks, blankets, towels and mats. We do recommend investing in your own mat to create greater consistency in your practice. We offer a few mat selections here: https://shop.lifetime.life
What certifications do your instructors have?
All LifePower yoga teachers have a minimum 200 hour RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher).
How do I know if a class is heated or not?
To view the temperature of a class, you can open the class schedule by club. Heated classes are typically labeled on the title of the class. You can also click on the individual class to read more about the room temperature and what to expect.
How do class titles compare to traditional branded classes?
Flow is equal to vinyasa, Sol is power vinyasa, Root is hatha, Surrender is yin, Fire is yoga HIIT and Warrior Sculpt is yoga sculpt.
What is the purpose of yoga at Life Time and which classes offer more guidance vs free flow?
The purpose of yoga at Life Time is to support everyone to do what they love in life for longer by teaching them the power of breath. Each of our experiences does this in a unique way: Surrender and Sol are completed guided, Root is mostly guided but may have moments where the teacher sets students free to explore the senses of body and mind. Flow magnifies the senses, with the teacher setting up sequences and then empowering students to move at their own pace, or even change the sequence to something different for extended periods of time.
Is paddle board yoga offered?
Select locations offer paddle board yoga seasonally. Please check your club’s class schedule for paddle board yoga to verify availability.
Do you have classes specifically for prenatal?
While we don’t have prenatal classes specified, our teachers are well versed in modifications that meet the needs of every individual. We always recommend connecting with the teacher ahead of class to discuss any specific needs. Additionally, please consult with your doctor before practicing any sort of yoga or exercise. Select locations do offer prenatal workshops. Please reach out to club leads to learn more.
Do you offer Yoga Teacher Training classes? And how do I enroll?

Pilates FAQs
Are Pilates classes offered as one on one sessions or in groups?
We offer private lessons and small group Reformer sessions in our Pilates Studios with certified Pilates Trainers.
Is it included with my membership?
Reformer Pilates classes are small group progressive sessions led by our trained Pilates professionals; these classes are an additional cost to the membership.
Is a Life Time membership required to enroll in Pilates Reformer classes?
Yes, to participate in our Pilates Reformer classes, a Life Time membership is required.
What are the benefits of Pilates
Pilates works your abs, but it also helps stretch what’s tight and strengthen what’s weak, stabilizes your joints, and improves stamina in your entire body. Because of this, we see a lot of people who have better posture, decreased back pain, or decreased joint pain after starting Pilates because they have a much stronger core and continue to strengthen it as they progress. Pilates movements are also great for postnatal recovery, as they can help you learn how to activate your abdominals again!
What brand reformers do we offer?
We utilize state-of-the-art Peak Pilates equipment in our Pilates Studios.
What are the qualifications and certifications of instructors?
Our certified Peak Pilates instructors assist members in championing happier and healthier lives by building and nurturing relationships. Instructors strive to achieve each client's goals through a personalized approach.
Is an introductory class offered to place me in the right level?
All members of Life Time are welcome to attend our complimentary Intro To Pilates or Discover Pilates sessions.
What is the difference between the different classes (core, evolve, transform)?
Core is our foundational Pilates class, this is the best option for beginners to get used to utilizing the Reformer, become familiar with the movements and working one muscle group at a time. Transform is our intermediate class which involves a slightly faster tempo as you work multiple muscle groups at once. Evolve is our most advanced class, these sessions are our most challenging Pilates exercises that incorporate advanced movements. If you have a Pilates background outside of Life Time and want to try Evolve, Intro To Pilates is a great way to assess your experience with an instructor to make sure it’s the right fit!
Can I use the Pilates Reformers when classes are not in session?
No, use of Reformers outside of classes is not permitted.
Strength FAQs

What is the highest weight of dumbbells?
All clubs with dumbbells have weights that go up to at least 110 lbs. There may be clubs that have heavier weights on a club-by-club basis.
Do you offer Olympic lifting? Do you have bumper plates?
If you're looking to do Olympic lifting on your own, every club is equipped with weight racks. Alpha Strength is one of our Signature Group Training brands that specializes in learning the skills and tools to practice and perfect your Olympic Lifting. All locations with fitness floors have bumper plates.
What is the youngest age a child can be on the weight floor? Any restrictions?
You must be at least 12 years old to enter and use the fitness floor. 11-year-olds may use the fitness floor if supervised by their parent or legal guardian. Heavy free weights are restricted to ages 16 and up. Free weights can be used by ages 12 and up. The whole fitness floor can be used by ages 12 and up.
Can I use chalk on your workout floor?
Considerate use of chalk is permitted on our weightlifting platforms only. We ask that our members please clean any chalk from equipment after use.
What is your filming policy?
Personal photography and videography is only allowed in public areas of the club (or at a Life Time sponsored or affiliated event, program, or activity off of Life Time’s premises) and is not allowed in any locker room, rest room, sauna, steam room, spa/hot tub, Life Spa massage room, health clinic, lab space, or any other private area of the club and must not be disruptive to others. Personal photography and videography is limited to pictures of yourself and may not include other members, guests, team members, or third-party workers under any circumstances, except as otherwise allowed below with the prior express consent of the other person. Personal photography and videography for special events and/or services in the child center, pool area and/or other special event spaces that may include other members and/or guests must be pre-approved by management and may require prior express consent from other parties. Personal photography and videography includes any photography or videography taken of yourself with a personal device (e.g. phone or tablet).

Do you have walking tracks at your locations?
Walking tracks are offered at a few locations nationwide. At clubs that do not offer walking tracks, we have over a 100 options of cardio equipment available to members.

Can I connect my HR monitor to the cardio machines?
New Technogym treadmills enable connection, but older Woodway treadmills do not.
Do the cardio machines have personal TVs on the machine?
At specific locations, select pieces of equipment offer personal televisions on the cardio equipment. The majority of our clubs offer dozens of televisions around the workout floor with various programming for our members’ viewing pleasure.
Can I watch my kids in the child center from any of your machines with TVs?
For the safety and privacy of our junior members, we do not offer access to view our child center in public forums.
At what age can my child workout on the cardio floor?
You must be at least 12 years old to enter and use the fitness floor (including cardio equipment). 11-year-olds may use the fitness floor if supervised by their parent or legal guardian.
What cardio equipment do you have available for those in wheelchairs or have disabilities?
Life Time is committed to maintaining the accessibility of our clubs to ensure that persons with disabilities have full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations of our services through the sites. We aim to create an experience that is accessible for everyone. Most of our locations off equipment that is available to those bound by wheelchair or needing specific accommodations. Am I able to use the studios on my own when classes are not being held?
Studio availability is club dependent. Connect with the concierge team at the front desk to learn more about studio access when there are no classes taking place at your club location.
Boxing & Kickboxing FAQs
Does my Life Time have heavy bags for boxing and kickboxing?

I am looking for one on one boxing. Do you offer this?
One-on-one Dynamic Personal Trainers may have boxing experience and certifications. Please see your club of interest for more details.
Do you offer kickboxing?

Barre FAQs
What is Barre? I have never heard of this type of class.
BARRE classes are rooted deeply in ballet with movements that stem from traditional ballet form. The high reps of precise isometric movements on and off the barre engage muscles in a way that our other strength classes can’t. Our LIFE BARRE classes will help our members to stand taller and activate their full range of motion
Is the bar for Barre classes offered in varying heights?
In studios with floor mounted barres – they are fixed to the floor and are not adjustable. Most of our fixed barres will have to levels for members to use.
Do I need to bring my own equipment for Barre classes?
No, all equipment used in our barre classes is available at the club.
Do I need dance experience to take any of the Barre classes?
No dance experience is necessary to participate or enjoy the benefits of these classes. So, meet us at the barre to embrace the beauty of movement with LIFE BARRE.
Dance FAQs
Am I able to use the studios on my own when classes are not being held?
